The ministry

A joyful, romantic, spirit-filled and loving marriage is one of God’s great miracles and challenges. He teaches us, through His word the bible, everything we need to know to navigate a life-time of challenges, and experience and enjoy the amazing gift He has given us in our spouse.

Understanding each role for which we are beautifully designed, the unique way we have been “wired”, and how to use those gifts to strengthen, encourage, guide and nurture each other through the journey of marriage is what Romance the Dance Ministry teaches.

Biblical TRUTHS OF MARRIAGE

Just like dance, we have roles to play in our marriage. As men we are called to love our wives like Christ loved church, leading her using God’s word. (Eph. 5;25-29; Col. 3:19; 1Peter 3:7 )

As women we are called to respect our husbands and encourage them to lead.(Eph. 5:22-24, 33; 1Peter 3:1-2;)

We are all called to treat each other with patience and submit our lives to each other trusting that God’s plan is perfect, and that He has brought us together for His purposes. (1Cor. 13:4-7; Col. 3:18-19; Eph.5:21; 1Peter 4:8; Mark 10:6-9)

Using biblical principals and concepts of leading and following in dance, “Romance the Dance” ministry helps develop skills to glide couples thru this amazing journey called marriage. A fun and romantic way of strengthening the marriage bond and understanding how to work as a team in God’s perfect plan.

By being grounded in and armed with knowledge we can understand how to:

  • Lead confidently but gently
  • Navigate obstacles of the dancefloor and life
  • Keep your marriage filled with romance
  • Fill your relationship with forgiveness
  • Move as one in unity with Christ
  • Cherish the Dance

Dancing

One of the most iconic images of romance is taking your spouse in your arms, gliding across the dance floor, looking into each other’s eyes, tuning out the world and getting lost in a song that only the two of you share. Beautiful Right?…….. Difficult!

Without the balance, knowledge of steps, understanding who is leading, who is following, and the trust that you are protective of each other, the dance can easily become a stumbling block filled with frustrations. ‘Two left feet”. Not so romantic.

BUT with some basic knowledge, a few very simple truths, and understanding of how to lead and follow with gentleness and compassion, you can learn to share the joy of dance and your marriage for a lifetime.
